WIRED EDUROAM

Wired eduroam is a functional equivalent of the well-known wireless service, except that what you need isn't a WiFi card, but

  • a regular Ethernet card aka port LAN RJ-45,
  • a regular computer network cable (aka "kabel UTP přímý", "patch kabel", "patch cord", or hypercorrectly "kabel ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B"). If you already don't have it, you can buy 2 meter version for less than 30 Kč in all computer stores, for example Vše pro WiFi, Alfa Computer.

More general info on eduroam at http://eduroam.osu.cz/ .
